Raisoft – research and development in a strong network

Since the very beginning, the important cornerstone of Raisoft's operations has been solid, diverse and international research and development collaboration work.

interRAI

The international research network, interRAI, maintains the interRAI system and owns its rights. Raisoft has long experience in the development of interRAI tools in Europe, Asia and Australia. The company has collaborated on development with user organisations, universities and members of interRAI.

Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius

We have implemented several development projects with the University Consortium:

AKTIVOI JANUARY 1, 2015 – DECEMBER 31, 2017
The AKTIVOI project creates new service concepts and operational models, which are based on people's own opportunities to maintain their health and ability to function. The key aspects are prevention and physical activation. The target groups of the three sub-projects are school children, working age people and seniors.

WELMED
WELMED is a measurement laboratory of the physical ability to function and an operational model for promoting health. It was developed by the University of Jyväskylä, Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius and business partners. WELMED offers tools and operational models to assess and monitor the ability to function. The concept represents a new kind of partnership approach between research and business operations.

GYMTONIC
GymTonic is a research and development project funded by the Singapore-based Lien Foundation, and its purpose is to bring the Finnish expertise to 20 retirement centres in Singapore. The heart of the project is "Exercise as Medicine". Physical therapists from Singapore are trained in Kokkola to assess and maintain elderly people's ability to function. This remarkable project generates demand for exporting new health technology and health training products.

TESLA MARCH 1, 2013 - APRIL 30, 2015
The purpose of TESLA, the research laboratory project for health science and health technology, is to create a health science based research laboratory and development service in accordance with the Living Lab operational model to serve the product development and business operations of health technology companies. Living Lab is a user-centric research concept.

DRA Consulting Oy

In collaboration with DRA Consulting, we have developed the Feenix Drug Screen, whose purpose is to individualise elderly people's medicinal treatment. The Feenix Drug Screen is used to review the most common adverse effects caused by medicines. When the results are compared to the medicines taken by the client, any adverse effects can be identified – and once they have been remedied, the client's condition will improve and the extent of adverse effects will decrease.

Ab Hur Oy

Raisoft and HUR collaborate in favour of active life that shines with the ability to function. Joint ventures include Welmed, AKTIVOI, GYMTONIC and TESLA, to name a few.

National Institute for Health and Welfare – THL

Raisoft has collaborated with THL since the company was founded. THL monitors the Finnish versions of the RAI equipment.

Our international partners

In addition to Finland, Raisoft is a market leader in Switzerland. Our Swiss collaboration partner is Q-Sys AG.

In Australia, we engage in development collaboration with the University of Queensland, which is located in Brisbane. In February 2017, we attended the international Global Acute Care Excellence Forum in Brisbane. The event served as the launching location of the new RAI for acute care, which was born out of close collaboration between the University of Queensland, interRAI and Raisoft. Our next goal is to launch the Finnish version of the same software.

We have collaborated with the Singapore-based Pulsesync Pte Ltd since 2008. We are currently working on, for example, the GymTonic project.

In Spain we collaborete with The New Health Foundation. They promote quality of life and relief of suffering for people with advanced diseases and their loved ones. The actions developed are based on the extension, development and management of programs of excellence in Palliative Care. We look forward to fruitful collaboration with The New Health Foundation in addressing the quality of life of people at the latest stages of life.
